You have filled a hole in my heart with this release and it feels warm and gooey (I presume that is the reverb). This is by far and away (in my opinion) one of the top releases of easily this year, but I suppose until your previous album release since, 2006? I was worried the old Mr. Shields trick was being played and I'd be on my deathbed when hype for this would begin, only to flatline the moment I could hear the sweet opening track. Every track here is a banger.

Agent K Like a Long lost friend;
Fleeting Joys return to the current shoegazer revitalization like they were never away.
Displaying the swirling guitar and dreamy harmonies the genre is noted for; "...Someday" is for NOW!
This is a majestic set of blissed out sonic architecture with ethereal harmonies.
"Kiss a Girl.." is a genre defining track.
"Returning..." puts an exclamation point on this joyous return to form.
Fleeting Joys are definitely a sight for sore eyes.
Welcome Home! Favorite track: Kiss a Girl In Black.

Matthew Nangle Returning and Returning and Returning. Wow. I Listened to a 50 sec leaked version of this track a bunch of times.. I managed to find a few years back on the net and hoped it would come to life as a full song. the finished product of this particular track is really magnificent.. I think it may be one of the best Shoegaze Genre infused tracks I've ever heard by any group. So glad to hear these wonderful new songs! this will be on repeat for awhile... made my day! Favorite track: Kiss a Girl In Black.

"Swirling guitars... layers of noise... drugged out soft male and female vocals going back and forth... sounding like part love, part death, part hope, part sadness. It's as if they've turned their instruments into liquid and poured them into your ears." ... more
